Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): The volcano has been very calm recently. After 2 weeks w/no recorded explosions, a few relatively small 1s occurred yesterday & today, producing ash plumes that rose to 7-8,000 ft (2-2.5 km) altitude.

Kerinci (Sumatra): A small eruption was seen from the volcano this morning at 07:44 local time. An ash plume from an explosion at the summit of Indonesia’s highest active volcano rose approx. 400 m from the summit crater.

Turrialba (Costa Rica): Following a 4 days pause in activity, new ash emissions have been occurring from the volcano again since yesterday.  Activity seems to have restarted gradually on Wednesday & became more intense yesterday morning, when a plume rising up to approx. 2000 m could be observed during clear weather. Small ash falls were noted in downwind areas.

Zavodovski (South Sandwich Islands (UK)): Satellite images show Mount Curry volcano on Zavodovski Island has been emitting a significant gas plume.

Michael (United Kingdom, South Sandwich Is): At least some intermittent mild eruptive activity might be continuing at the volcano. On a recent satellite image, a weak dark line possibly indicating an ash plume can be seen.
